A good start
PBG made its debut in this year's edition of the Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking, taking the 27th position out of the total of 58 large CSR-aware companies. Among first-timers, we came in second. We are delighted that our commitment to CSR has been recognised and rewarded.
Our presence in the ranking demanded great involvement on the part of our CSR teams as the survey asked for information covering the entire organisation. The ranking is an unbiased and reliable test of our CSR credentials and a stimulus encouraging further efforts for the benefit of our communities and the environment. Hence, we have already set our sights on future editions.
How the ranking was compiled
The ranking (Ranking Odpowiedzialnych Firm or ROF) was founded by Bolesław Rok from Leon Kozmisky Academy's Centre of Ethics in Business. Relevance of the answers given was verified by PwC, and the ranking was published by the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily, under the auspices of the Responsible Business Forum.
Five-hundred large businesses were invited to participate in the survey, and they were asked 66 questions concerning five CSR areas: responsible leadership, dialogue with stakeholders, social commitment, responsible management and social innovation. In the responsible leadership area, the maximum score was 200, and in the other areas it was 100. In total, PBG scored 368 points.
"Only 2 percent of some three thousand enterprises operating in Poland are distinguished by consistent delivery of CSR initiatives,” wrote Dziennik Gazeta Prawna in the May 26th issue. We are proud to be included in this impressive group.
