Employees

People are the pillar of PBG. Therefore, we strive to provide them with comfortable conditions for work and development on a daily basis. We co-fund their post-graduate studies, courses and trainings.

To ensure a good working atmosphere, we host team-building events, trips and meetings. All hobbyists may pursue their interests as members of PBG-organised clubs and associations, such as the Return Tennis Club, PBG Sailing Club, or Merlin Fishing Club.

Examples of our CSR activities that benefit the Employees:

PBG Language School

Foreign language courses have always been an important element of PBG’s HR policy. Initially we hired individual tutors to improve our language skills. If it were not for these efforts, a large majority of the management staff would not be able to now participate in the contract award and project delivery processes. When we founded the PBG Language School in 2007, it had 30 students. At present, over 200 learners attend the school, enjoying flexible hours and methods. The improved linguistic competences of our employees convince us that it is worth investing in languages.

Briefing and Training Meetings

Sharing knowledge and information is our everyday work and practice. Meetings of staff and management, hosted since 2000, have become a tradition. They are all about us and for us. The objective behind the Briefing and Training Meetings is continuous development and training. We gather in one place at the same time to share our knowledge and experiences. During the meetings everyone is given the opportunity to become acquainted with the organisation, and to learn about its current position and strategy for the future. Employee satisfaction surveys have also become a tradition. The survey results serve as basis for the necessary changes and improvements.

The Ogniwo Bulletin

Aware of how important it is to share knowledge and information, we started writing and publishing an in-house magazine in 1997. The first Piecobiogazetka, printed in black and white, was two-page only and had a circulation of about 100 copies. At present, the Ogniwo Corporate Bulletin comprises about 60 pages and reaches the hands of almost 1500 readers. From the very beginning, the bulletin, regardless of its form and volume, has been made by and for the employees. Ogniwo has been appreciated and awarded the title of “Internale 2011” as the best in-house communication project.

PBG Band

The simple looking but expressive sounding bongo drums, a gift received by the Company's President during her exotic journey, may have become the inspiration to start a musical band at the Company. This is how PBG Band was formed in 2004 by a group of musically talented employees. The band was immediately thrown in at the deep end – their very first performance was as a support act for Perfect, one of Poland's best known rock bands, who were the Company's guests at a party marking its 10th anniversary. In addition to great concerts adding splendour to various corporate events, PBG Band has also made two records (each in 5,000 copies), one for Christmas and the other for Mother's Day.
